Author Biography

Francesca Bonafede, University of Westminster

Francesca Bonafede is a second-year PhD candidate at the University of Westminster. She was educated at the Università degli Studi Roma Tre (BAHons in Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures) and at the University of Westminster (MA in English Literature). Her present research interest is the evolution of Wyndham Lewis’s art theory from the birth of Vorticism up to the 1940s, and her current work draws from Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology as the philosophical framework for a re-reading of Lewis’s artistic practice.
